 | QUICK CHANGE TOOLPOSTS (MLA-16A&B) The quick change toolpost has two turrets, an "A" turret for turning tools, seen mounted on the post assembly at the right in the photo; and a "B" turret for boring tools, seen at the left. The post assembly can remain mounted on the topslide compound, and one turret substituted for the other quickly simply by unscrewing the handle, thus switching from boring to turning operations, or vice versa. The "A" turret is designed for 3/8" square tools, the "B" turret for 3/4, 1/2, 3/8" boring bars and boring tools. |
The kit for making the toolpost includes two ductile iron castings, drawings, and machining instructions. In addition a 3/8-16 x 3 1/2" mounting screw is supplied (so you don't have to buy a box of fifty). |
